Yai is an illustrator & storyteller based in North Carolina who identifies as three cats in a turtleneck just trying their best. Their creative work is entrenched in what they call the art of becoming. There is something profound about the adventure of being human and uncovering your own identity apart from all the other voices in your head. This journey is what they are intent on capturing through their stories.
When not at their desk (which is rare), you can find them discussing video game lore with their partner, playing with their two dogs, nerding out with friends about gacha games, or hugging a pillow excitedly as they keep up with the latest Formula 1 races.
