Wednesday Kirwan loves flea markets, natural history museums, preying mantises, owls and rain. She started her career teaching science and art to preschoolers. Now she's a mama and a full time author-illustrator and continues to be inspired by the way small people perceive the universe. The most exciting moment of her career was writing Baby Bug (Little Simon, 2022) about her brand new daughter.
Recent author-illustrated titles include Merdaddy (Greenwillow, 2024) and Big Kids No Everything (Little Simon, 2023).
Wednesday lives in the Santa Cruz mountains with her kiddo in a house surrounded by redwood trees and banana slugs.
