Teresa Ho Robeson is an Asian Pacific American Librarians Association Picture Book Award-winning author of fiction and nonfiction PBs, GNs, ER CBs, and MGs, drawing upon her Chinese heritage, Canadian-American immigrant sensibilities, as well as her meandering background in science.
A former Illustrator Coordinator and Co-Regional Advisor for Indiana SCBWI, Teresa also teaches about writing and the publishing life at Boyds Mills, SCBWI, Inked Voices, The Writing Barn, 12x12, and more. Because she’s a total sucker for a good cause, she donates to organizations such as Queer Kidlit and Literary Agents of Change.
Surrounded by state forest, Teresa, her scientist husband, and their younger child (plus a flock of unruly chickens) try to live sustainably and self-sufficiently on 27-acres in rural Indiana where they grow, forage, process, and preserve much of their own food. Birding, bug-spotting, keeping up with science, making marmalade and jellies, knitting, and maintaining uneasy ententes with marauding squirrels keep her occupied in between writing, making art, volunteering, and homesteading.
