Rudy Paras is an illustrator with a big heart for storytelling. He creates whimsical, character-driven illustrations that invite readers of all ages into vibrant, imaginative worlds.
Born in Mexico, raised in Texas, and now living on the wild northwest coast of Canada, Rudy's work is shaped by landscapes, culture, and the stories we carry. He brings a playful, heartfelt perspective to every project—whether it's a picture book, editorial piece, or visual narrative.
Rudy's background is in architecture and urban planning which has taught him how to shape environments, but illustration is where he builds worlds full of frogs in raincoats, curious critters, and quiet magic. Rudy believes that every character—human or animal—has a story to tell.
When Rudy is not drawing, you can find him hiking, kayaking, or making pancakes on rainy mornings.
