Henry Herz writes for the picture book, chapter book, middle grade, young adult, and adult markets. He especially enjoys writing fantasy (both high fantasy and urban fantasy), science fiction, and horror.

Henry is a member of SCBWI, the Author's Guild, and the IAMTW. He has received writing grants from SCBWI and PJ Our Way (twice). He is a former software project manager and process improvement consultant. Henry earned a BS in Engineering from Cornell U., an MS in Engineering from George Washington U., and an MA in Political Science from Georgetown U. 
He lives in sunny San Diego with his lovely wife, Julie. When he’s not writing, Henry enjoys taking his faithful hound, Iroh, to the dog park and putzing around the yard. He also moderates author panels at pop culture conventions and writers conferences. Henry wishes he could illustrate, but he cannot even draw stick figures. He’s also a terrible dancer.
