Heegyum Kim is a Korean illustrator with a background in graphic design, based in New York. She works mostly from her cozy home studio, accompanied by her two nosy corgis. Her work is inspired by daily life, nature, her dogs, and childhood memories.
Heegyum primarily enjoys working with traditional dry media, but she’s never shy about experimenting new materials. She loves storytelling through her humorous and quirky characters, bringing each one to life with a unique personality.
When she’s not drawing, you’ll likely find her at the stove cooking some savory—or in the kitchen whipping up a batch of homemade vanilla ice cream.
