Hali Weiss is a Manhattan-based architect, originally from Buffalo. She's a member of Inked Voices, the Writing Barn, and has worked with her fabulous critique group for many years. As a practicing architect, she pays attention to story structure, sometimes building tightly constructed narratives. At other times, there's more subtext and open space. But what drives her picture book work is an ebb and flow of connection and longing. "We all have invisible gifts that don't need to be hidden and can be brought to life," she says.
Hali is the mother of two grown children, likes to cook for dinner parties and holiday meals, loves to ski (slowly), and studies the Kabbalah (ancient Jewish texts).
Hali is proudly represented by Carter Hasegawa (carter@tugeau2.com).
