Ed Jenkins is the creator and writer of the popular podcast Keyshawn Solves It, an 8-episode serialized mystery about a 10-year-old African-American boy who inherits a set of keys that can unlock almost any door. With help from his friend Kiki, Keyshawn uses these keys to help solve the mysteries of his community. Geared to children 5-9, Keyshawn Solves It is produced by WGBH Kids and distributed by PRX and PBS KIDS with funding made possible in part by Black Public Media.

Since its premiere on May 29, 2023, Keyshawn Solves It has been streamed over 9.6 million times via PBS KIDS platforms. The podcast’s episodes have been downloaded over 137,000 times on non-PBS KIDS platforms. Common Sense Media, the trusted authority on kids media, rated it the Best Podcast of 2023.

Ed has more than 20 years’ experience as a creator and performing artist for children. Ed is deeply passionate about inspiring kids to make the world wonderful and his walk with Christ inspires everything he creates. He has a BFA in Acting, MS in Recreation Management, and has experience in theatre, video production, storytelling, clowning, juggling…and can make you a snazzy balloon hat. He loves deep conversations, watching kid movies, and witnessing his young son do amazing things. Ed lives with his family in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
