Dawn Lo's illustration work has appeared in picture books, on stationery, greeting cards, public art installations, and more! Born in Hong Kong, she is currently based in the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, also known as Vancouver, BC.
In her spare time - between working at the library or reading slices of life manga - Dawn illustrates for picture books. Recent book projects include Snow Song by A.K. Riley (Kids Can Press), Hush Little Hero (Little Simon), Sally's Big Day and Sally's New Look (Orca Books). Dawn mainly uses a mixed technique combining gouache and crayons, sometimes creating everything digitally. Dawn loves the little everyday moments, earl grey flavoured desserts and her neighbour’s cat. She welcomes you to have a good laugh with her along with her quirky characters and whimsical illustrations. See more from Dawn on her website.
