Cynthia Platt is the author of picture and board books including Grow, Easter Starring Egg, A Little Bit of Love, Happy Halloween, Teal Pumpkin!, Panda-monium, and Turkeys in Disguise. She’s also the author the middle grade novel, Parker Bell & the Science of Friendship, the YA novel, Postcards from Summer, numerous Curious George books, and picture books and early readers for the Khan Academy Kids learning app. With more than twenty years under her belt as an editor of books for young readers, she’s currently on faculty in Lesley University’s MFA in Creative Writing program (where she got her own MFA) and the editorial director at a small educational nonprofit, Tumblehome, Inc. 
Cynthia loves to hike, bake, read, and is a more passionate soccer fan than is strictly healthy for her. She lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts with her husband, college student daughter, and guinea pig.
