CJ Fonnesbeck is a digital illustrator who aims to educate, inspire, and connect people of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences through art. CJ's early work includes illustrating pages for the independently published, "I Can Teach My Child" early reader series, and since then, has illustrated a number of other independently published books.
CJ has a B.A. in Design with concentrations in Digital Illustration and Entertainment Design and a minor in Creative Writing from Southern Virginia University. Oh, and did we mention that CJ builds puppets?! For real, and they're awesome. When not working, you can find CJ overanalyzing animated TV shows, collecting vintage toys, fencing, or performing onstage (puppets!!!), all of which influence CJ's art.
In addition to creating book covers and black-and-white interior illustrations, CJ is the author-illustrator of a couple graphic novels currently in development and is open to illustration work for graphic novel manuscripts written by others. Originally from Texas, CJ currently lives and works in Kansas, USA.
