Carrie O'Neill is a children's book author/illustrator living in Olympia, Washington. Before beginning her journey into children's literature, she made sculpture and paintings, fiber arts, worked as a freelance portrait artist, created public artworks, and taught art classes for people of all ages. Carrie's watercolor and ink illustrations are soft, playful reflections of the world around her, and as an artist friend describes them, "secretly meticulous."  She is a member of SCBWI.
When not in her studio, she likes to drink coffee on the porch, read picture books, and pick blueberries with her husband and two daughters.
