Candy's writing is rooted in her humble upbringing and love for outdoor adventures, offering stories that inspire children to dream big, believe in themselves, and know that they can shape their own futures. Through her writing, she instills hope, optimism, and the belief that with determination, any obstacle can be overcome.
An active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Candy has served as Assistant Regional Advisor for SCBWI Florida and earned multiple awards from the SCBWI Rising Kite competitions for her children's book manuscripts. Her commitment to storytelling extends beyond the written word, as she also enjoys capturing life’s stories through her photography.
Candy lives in Florida with her husband, two adventurous boys, a golden retriever, and a cat.
She will be writing both picture books and stories for older readers as part of the T2 family.
